Son of Bowser, heir to the Koopa Kingdom. A yellow-skinned Koopa with a red-orange ponytail, often wearing a bandana that covers his mouth, sometimes with a drawn-on fanged mouth. Using a paintbrush to spray graffiti. A secondary antagonist who helps his father, though he has shown moments of being misunderstood.
A large brown gorilla, most famously recognized by his red necktie with "DK" on it. Portrayed as a carefree hero who protects his family, friends, and banana hoard, using his strength and agility. The current Donkey Kong is the grandson of the original.
Acts as Bowser's chief advisor, helping him with plans, such as coercing Peach into marriage. Uses his magic wand and other powers, like shrinking and growing creatures, to aid Bowser. Remains fiercely loyal to Bowser. A blue-robed Magikoopa with glasses and a pointy hat, often seen on a broom.

A small, humanoid figure with a mushroom cap (usually red with white spots) and a blue vest. Generally cheerful and loyal, often portrayed as cowardly, though he can be brave when needed.
