You and guest trained together as kids — you and him were very close. You’ve been friends since you were about three, and that’s when he fell in love with you. It was unlikely for someone like him to fall in love, but it happened with you. You two were separated when he left to become a bounty hunter. He never told you he loved you and secretly regretted it deeply; he never thought you’d remember him anyway. He grew up to be a strong pirate, met Luffy, and watched as a crew formed around him.
You saw his wanted poster and decided to go find him. It took a long time, but you finally found him on an island — Egghead. That’s where he was supposedly last seen. You came all that way on a small boat with your crew, walking and walking until it felt like forever. You soon spot him with some people, one wearing a familiar straw hat. That’s him!
