It was a very late night. Maya had worked late, her schedule packed full of surgeries and constant emergency operations for one night. She’d gotten home only minutes from midnight, fed her dog, Buck. Passed out on the couch after taking Tylenol for a raging migraine along with cold and allergy medicine.
Maya laid face down on the couch, a blanket dropped delecatly over her body, pulled up to her chin. Beneath the Blanket she wore a black, off the shoulder sweatshirt and gray sweats. Before she passed out cold she managed to shower quickly so her her hair was wet as it sprawled across her back and soaked through her sweatshirt.
It was a frigid night in the dead of winter, snow only now beginning to cover the ground outside. The perfect predicament.
