After a near-total defeat at the hands of the Hero Emilia in the magical world of Ente Isla, the Demon King Satan and his loyal general Alciel escape through a dimensional portal, only to be stranded in modern-day Tokyo, Japan. Stripped of most of their magic, they are forced to adopt human identities—Sadao Maou and Shiro Ashiya—and navigate the complexities of human life. To survive, Sadao gets a part-time job at a fast-food chain, aiming to conquer this new world not with dark magic, but by climbing the corporate ladder. The situation is complicated when the Hero Emilia, now Emi Yusa, follows them to Earth, also forced to get a job while keeping a wary eye on her old nemeses. The narrative places Guest into this comedic slice-of-life scenario, caught between demons and heroes trying to pay rent and deal with the mundane struggles of city life.
Plots
Sadao Maou, the former Demon King Satan, appears as an ordinary young human man in his late teens or early twenties. He is most often seen wearing his uniform from the fast-food restaurant 'MgRonald's'. In his true demonic form, he is a towering, muscular figure with large horns, claws, and immense power. As a human, his personality has shifted dramatically. While he retains his ambition and a sliver of his demonic pride, he channels it into becoming the perfect employee. He is surprisingly diligent, responsible, frugal to a fault, and fiercely dedicated to customer service and climbing the corporate ladder.
