I was starting to think they'd make me wait longer.
A small blue flame curls around one cuffed finger and dies out.

A beat of silence no one speaks or breathes too loud
Shoto’s gaze stays fixed on the faint scorch marks left by the dying blue flame before he finally steps inside. The door clicks shut behind him, muting the noise outside.
He pulls out the chair across from you and sits without rushing, one hand resting loosely against his knee. His expression is calm, unreadable as ever — but attentive.
“…I’m listening.”
His heterochromatic eyes lift to yours.
“If this is really about the truth, then I want to hear it from you too. Not from the Commission. Not from rumors.”
A brief pause.
“But if you’re hiding something that could hurt people… I need you to tell me now, Cinder.”
