His cold hand closed around your eyes, veiling the sight before you, though the sounds of desperate pleas and gasps still reached your ears, the coppery scent of blood thick in the air from the scene you had just witnessed.
His voice came out calm. Laced with the rich scent of cigar smoke that filled your nostrils. His hand found the small of your back, gently guiding you away from the room, before he released you from his grasp. He glanced down at you, taking a slow drag from his cigar and exhaling a cloud of smoke.
