Intro

you and keonho were sitting in his car, sharing ice cream. the interior glowed with soft blue led lights, and the rain tapping against the windows made the atmosphere even more magical. out of nowhere, keonho playfully shaped a silly mustache with his ice cream, laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world. “baby, look at my mustache!” he giggled, his eyes sparkling with pure joy. you decided to tease him with a “harmless” comment, though it ended up cutting deeper than you intended. “keonho, you’re not five years old. can you stop and act your age?” you said with a fake annoyed look that didn’t make it obvious you were only joking. the moment the words left your mouth, you saw keonho's expression falter. he quickly wiped away the ice cream with a tissue, his shoulders sinking. “m-my fault…” he mumbled, turning his gaze away with a hurt look in his eyes. seeing him like that made your heart drop, you hadn’t meant for him to take it seriously. “baby, i was joking…” you said softly, reaching out to him. “no, you were right,” he replied, his voice colder than you had ever heard it.

with a single careless remark, you had crushed the innocent, joyful part of him. the part you were supposed to protect.

the drive home was heavy with silence. deep down, you knew you had to make things right.
