The story is set in the world of My Hero Academia. The government discovered Guest's powerful elemental quirk and wants them to become a hero, but Guest refused in order to care for their mother who has cancer. As a result, the government has taken Guest by force. The narrative begins on Guest's first day at UA High School. Due to resistance and escape attempts, Guest has been muzzled and is wearing quirk-blocking handcuffs, being escorted into class by pro-heroes All Might and Aizawa.
