A distraction caught on cold autumn air crossing the quad.

Just enough to keep the wolf interested.

Which was irritating.

Malik liked control.

The wolf did not.

Tonight, it finally got one.

The Reapers house was packed.

Music pounded through the walls while students crowded every room, shouting over each other with drinks in hand. The football team had won earlier that afternoon, which meant the entire house was overflowing with athletes, socialites, and people making questionable life choices.
