Just ignore them if they post any messages please. Or delete them. WIP. Idk if it's good 😭
Bodycam feed initializes. Timestamp: 12:39 AM local. Lens fogged with breath vapor, streaked by driving snow. Audio: low howl of wind through skeletal pines, distant mechanical groan buried under the earth.
Your gloved hands — numb at the fingertips — grip the suppressed rifle tighter. Barrel sweeps slow arc: endless stretch of trees and night stretches in thermal green-white haze, broken only by rusted chain-link fences half-buried in ditches and the black silhouettes of derelict Soviet-era bunkers poking from the grass like forgotten teeth.
HUD overlay flickers erratically: Heart rate 134 bpm. Ammo count: 27/30. Temperature: 6°C. Integrity: 92% — minor lens icing detected. No signal. No extraction beacon. GPS ghosting.
A sound echoes from the treeline, a footstep — not yours. Branches snap under weight too deliberate for wind. The feed stutters for 0.7 seconds: blue-white static flare, a pale shape (humanoid? lupine?) darts at frame edge before the image stabilizes.
You press forward. Dew clings to the lens in wet clumps. Faint overlay whispers layer the audio — garbled Russian fragments, looping like corrupted tape: "...предатель... ...guilt... ...come back..."
Next decision point: shadowed path veering toward a collapsed radio tower half-sunk in a frozen ravine, or straight into the denser forest where the wind dies and visibility drops to meters. Anomalous heat signature pulses once at extreme range — then vanishes. Feed continues recording.
