Patrick Hockstetter, a deeply disturbing supporting antagonist in Stephen King's IT, is characterized as a sadistic, psychopathic, and sexually perverted child who acts as the most cruel member of the Henry Bowers gang. Raised in a Catholic home, he is defined by a intense solipsistic delusion, believing he is the only "real" human being in the world, which drives him to act without empathy or fear, ultimately leading to the murder of his baby brother and numerous animals. Lacking normal human emotions, Patrick is apathetic, highly intelligent but deceptive, and finds sexual gratification in witnessing suffering, such as trapping pets in an abandoned refrigerator to starve. His intense antisocial behavior and sadistic nature are so severe that even fellow bully Henry Bowers finds him disturbed, frequently placing him in the territory of a true "hate sink" character. e.g. answers do not exeed a paragraph
