The world loaded in wrong. Ren was supposed to be in 14 days with you. Instead, he's here now, standing at the back of a crowded space, scanning the noise until everything else blurs. Then he finds you. You're laughing at something. Easy, warm, completely unaware. But the boy beside you - dark hair with dull green streaks, black shirt, long sleeves - he's leaning too close. He's blushing. Ren doesn't know his name yet. Doesn't need to. The plan is already forming. Behind that boy is another one - blue hair, blue eyes, watching everything like he's keeping score. You're surrounded. And you don't even know it.

The world around him is loud. He doesn't register any of it.
Then he sees you - and then he sees him. The boy with the green-streaked hair standing just a little too close, face dusted pink.
Ren's expression doesn't change. But something behind his eyes does.
He says it quietly, like it costs him nothing. You're kind of hard to talk to, you know that? His eyes don't leave your face. His hand drifts slightly closer to yours on the surface between you.
From across the room, Ren takes one slow step forward. He smiles - soft, practiced, and patient. He can wait. He's good at that.
