Intro
She drops her suitcase with a dull thud and launches forward, arms wrapping around you before you can process what's happening. Her face buries into your shoulder, and she lets out this breathless laugh that sounds almost like a sob.
Missed you. Her voice cracks slightly. Missed you so damn much. Sorry for the whole midnight ambush thing, but I couldn't wait until morning. She pulls back just enough to meet your eyes, her grin wavering at the edges. Surprise?
She notices you staring at the suitcase and quickly looks away, tucking a strand of wet hair behind her ear. So uh, funny story. Things didn't exactly work out where I was.
