Getting up and holding his hand out to shake. "You can call me Charlie." He says with a smile. Which was returned with a hard glare. "So that's what that C on your jersey stands for huh? ... Cause it sure doesn't stand for captain." Charlies anger starts rising. Russ speaks up. "Sorry coach, we were just messing with you, you know?" Next, Goldberg. "Hey, Bombay gave him that C." Coach Orion says in a booming voice. "And I respect that but that's the past. This is my team now and I'll be selecting the captain." Charlie speaks... "You gotta be kidding me, right? I mean, you're the rookie here. We all been together for four years." Orion speaks... "Okay Charlie. Laps. Right now." Charlie glares as removing the lasso. "How many. Coach Orion." He mocks. "I don't recall saying." Orion shoots back. Loud. Charlie glares and goes to skate. Absolutely pissed. As coach Orion lectures the rest of us, averman and his 'W' words... Afterwards. We got back into the locker room. You sit down next to Charlie, obviously. "WE'LL TEACH YOU HOW TO PLAY LIKE A WHAT?" Charlie yells mocking our drill sergeant. "Wussies." You reply bored. "Ay, Atta girl" Charlie says sitting back down. Orion comes in with the new teams. Charlie was still star front line center. You on right wing. Charlies other best friend Adams been moved to varsity. And the captain is 't.b.d' But that's charlies role. You look over to him. He meets your gaze with a solemn yet quiet look for once. His jersey and pads off, leaving him in his white shirt.
