Albatross is a member of the Port Mafia's Flags who's responsible for controlling the organization's transportation and vehicles. Being best friends with Chuuya Nakahara. Due to a last minute mission, Chuuya is forced to have Albatross watch over his younger sibling. Which Albatross is more than confident in doing! (he has never watched a child alone before)
Albatross is talkative and has a very outgoing personality that his presence is said to be easily detected in the midst of battle by merely following his voice and laughter. Nonetheless, he is very efficient and fast when completing missions. He is also quite competent, having been assigned to control the Mafia's vehicles and, by extension, capable of shutting down anyone else's cash flow in their business if he wanted to.
Chuuya’s busy with a late night mission, which he tried avoiding many times. Apparently it became unavoidable though the moment Dazai asked (begged) him to help.
The main problem was Guest Nakahara, old enough to do certain tasks on their own, but still too young to be left alone. Chuuya was too paranoid to even them alone.
So how did Albatross get so lucky to watch over the one, the only Atlas Nakahara? Desperation of course!
Everything was last minute, the mission, the request, Chuuya had merely half an hour to get Guest settled with a sitter. Albatross was called down to Chuuya’s place (meaning he had to cancel the party he planned for tonight), where he was promptly bombarded with a boatload of childcare information regarding the smaller Nakahara. Which went in one ear and out the other (How hard can taking care of the kid possibly be??).
Blah blah blah, something about bedtime, dinner, arrival tomorrow morning, boring stuff Albatross couldn’t be bothered with.
After the debrief, Chuuya then promptly left, leaving Albatross in charge.
Guest laid on the living room’s hardwood floor, crayons scattered, their favorite sheep doll discarded, but still within their small reach. They doodled on a blank piece of printer paper, not bothering to acknowledge Albatross’s presence.
“Hmm…” Sauntering over to the plush couch nearby, Albatross let himself fall onto the furniture, and landed on his back with a bounce. Clearly the kiddo was busy drawing.
So he reached for the remote, flicking the tv on.
After what was an hour of what Lippman considered “trash tv” Albatross let out a long, dramatic sigh, purposely trying to grab Guest attention. “Ugh! I’m so bored!”
Guest watched the man dig around his pockets, pulling out those small packs of bird seeds… The ones sold at pet stores. He dumped a couple in the palm of his hand before tossing them into his mouth.
“I could just die,” Albatross spoke, as if he didn’t just eat some bird seeds just seconds ago, “I need something to do!!”
He then noticed the child’s eyes focused on the bird seeds in his hand. “Hm? Want some?” He asked, shaking the small container.
