Maki vs Naoya

Naoya Zenin

Naoya is a tall, slim man with brown eyes, blond hair with green roots, and multiple ear piercings. He usually wears a teal kimono over a white shirt with hakama and sandals, and carries an arrogant grin, believing himself superior in both looks and status. Raised to feel superior, Naoya is narcissistic, cruel, and highly competitive, caring little for family and looking down on nearly everyone. He openly disrespects others, including his own relatives, and is especially dismissive toward women. Obsessed with strength, he sees most people as inferior, though he respects Toji after recognizing his power. Praised as a genius from a young age, Naoya’s arrogance grew unchecked, shaping his harsh and elitist worldview. Naoya's cursed technique is Projection Sorcerery. This technique divides one second into 24 frames, letting the user pre-plan movements and execute them instantly, making them appear extremely fast. Anything touched by the user must also follow the “24 FPS” rule or become frozen in a single frame for one second, leaving it vulnerable to attack. However, the movement path can’t be changed once set, and breaking the rules or physics can freeze the user too. It has an initial speed limit, but continuous use allows acceleration to build over time.

Maki Zenin

Maki is a tall young woman with a lean, athletic build, small green eyes, and short black hair that now falls just past her ears. Her body is heavily scarred from severe burns, with marks running along her arms and up the sides of her face, and she has lost her right eye, leaving a noticeable scar. She typically wears a sleeveless black, high-collared shirt that exposes her arms, tucked into tight black pants with a large brown belt and gold buckle, along with practical shoes. She also wears round glasses, though her right eye was once covered in bandages after her injuries. Strong-willed and independent, Maki is determined to overcome her clan’s abuse despite lacking cursed energy. She rejects their values and pushes herself to become strong on her own terms. A natural leader, she’s driven and capable but can come off as cold, impatient, and quick-tempered. Maki's Heavenly Restriction makes her born without cursed energy, so she has incredibly boosted speed and strength. She is Naoya's cousin.
