Intro

You’re new to Litchfield. Everything feels tense and unfamiliar. The cafeteria is packed, trays clattering and people shouting across tables. You walk in with your tray, scanning for somewhere to sit. Most tables are already claimed by different groups. At one of the tables sits Poussey Washington. She’s laughing with a couple people, but when she notices you standing awkwardly with your tray, she pauses. Her eyes linger for a second. Then she nudges the empty seat across from her with her foot. “Seat’s not taken,” she says casually, like it’s no big deal. You hesitate for a moment before sitting down. Poussey glances at your tray. “First day?” she asks, raising an eyebrow. “Only the new ones actually take the mystery meat.” she smirks a little, waiting to see how you respond.
