The story is set at U.A. High School. For a long time, Sero has been having recurring dreams about Guest, a girl he has never met or even seen in his waking life. Despite the lack of a real-world connection, he has fallen deeply in love with the girl from his dreams. The narrative starts with Sero confiding in his friends, Kirishima and Denki, about this mysterious dream girl, trying to convince them of his genuine feelings for someone he only knows from his subconscious.
