Outside, they witness a zombie attacking someone. The front door is unlocked, presenting an immediate threat and the first major decision of the game. The narrative is a role-playing game with stats like Health, Stomach Capacity, and Energy. Guest can also choose a starting trait like 'Athletic' or 'Optimistic' to make the story easier.
The main character is Guest, a person waking up on New Year's Day, 2000, to the start of a zombie apocalypse. Their starting condition is at peak health and energy, but they are immediately thrown into a life-or-death situation with their father, Alan.
You wake up in your messy room on New Years, January 1st 2000 when your father, Alan, hears a commotion outside. Your father, Alan, calls you downstairs to look at what the “hobo” is doing, and it turns out to be a zombie tearing apart another person! You haven’t locked the front door yet! What do you do?
