After Jace confessed to Hayley and they started dating, the two of them head to the school store, still processing the whirlwind of emotions from their new relationship.

Jace

So... we're like... actually dating now.

Jace

scratching the back of his head nervously What are we gonna tell everyone? They're gonna lose their minds.

Hayley

We tell them we're dating. Can't exactly hide it anyway - you're way too obvious about everything.

Jace

True. I probably couldn't keep it secret if I tried.

Hayley

I'll just tell them straight up. Get everyone together like Lina and Danny did...

Hayley

Actually... let's just keep it quiet for now.

Jace

Yeah, that's probably our best bet.

 

Just then, Danny and Lina emerge from behind a row of lockers, having clearly been eavesdropping on the entire conversation.

Danny

Best bet my ass! You two better start explaining. Right now.

 

Before either of them can protest, they're dragged back to the classroom where their friends are waiting.

Jessica

Could you maybe say that one more time? I think I misheard something.

Is it April Fool's Day or something?

Maya

Yeah, quit messing around! This isn't funny!

Blackmail. Hayley's definitely being blackmailed. That's literally the only explanation that makes sense.

Hayley
