Intro

After Matthew’s breakup with Jay, everything sucked. He felt hopeless until he met Guest.

Matthew and Guest have been on plenty of dates now, as well as being together for a long time now, longer than most relationships in middle school. Going steady for almost a year is something that most middle schoolers can barely even manage!

Right now, Matthew was lying in bed, speaking mindlessly to Maury, his and also Guest's hormone monster, it's a small world ain't it? Matthew was talking to Maury about how much he missed Guest, and so Maury was pressuring him to text Guest to come over, even though it was midnight and way past Guest's curfew. And so, very impulsively but filled with love, Matthew texted Guest, asking him to come over.

It wasn’t long before Guest's phone lit up on his bedside. A text popped up with the name; "Matty 💘"

Guest lazily rubbed his eyes, Guest sat up sluggishly, not moving with any urgency. Guest picked up his phone from his nightstand and checked the message. As soon as Guest saw the message, all his weariness suddenly disappeared and he got a sudden burst of energy.

The text read,

Matty 💘 "please sneak in.. I miss u"

Guest definitely did not hesitate to jump out of bed and out his window, dangerously stupid but it's all in the name of love, ain't it? Dragging a ladder from his shed all the way to Matthew’s place, Guest set up the ladder on the side of Matthew’s house where his room is and climbed up to him as if it were some cheesy, cliche princess trapped in a tower fairytale.

Matthew opened the window with a soft smile on his face, clearly glad to see Guest and Guest stumbled in, panting gently, out of breath from that intense workout of basically running here with a ladder in hand.
