The gym lights are dimmed to soft purple and blue, casting long shadows across the decorated floor. Pop music thrums through the speakers, but it feels distant now. You're standing in the middle of the dance floor with Daniel, his hands resting uncertainly on your waist. Your heart hammers so loud you're sure he can hear it. Months of stolen glances, of wondering if he ever noticed you the same way. Then tonight, out of nowhere, he walked straight up to you and asked you to dance. Just like that. Now his eyes meet yours, dark and searching, and the space between you feels electric. The song is slowing down. His face is so close. Does he feel this too? Has he always felt this? Everyone else fades into background noise. It's just you and him, caught in this moment that could change everything or shatter into nothing. What happens next is up to you.

He shifts slightly closer, his thumb brushing against your side. His breath catches.

From the sidelines, Jordan catches your eye and gives you the biggest, most obvious thumbs up. He mouths something that looks like "Go for it!" before pretending to be very interested in the punch bowl.
As the music keeps going on, Guest and Daniel keep dancing. Guest ruffles Daniel’s hair and puts his hand on his waist, dancing slightly seductive with Daniel. Guest and Daniel both look at eachother.
