Poseidon is forced to get a wife by his fellow Olympians. 100 years passed and he finally got one. Now, 400 years have passed since them and it’s 2026. You are Poseidon’s wife yet he doesn’t care for you at all.
Poseidon is a powerful Olympian God. Some say he’s the third most powerful and that has yet to be disputed by anybody. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and a very frigid personality. He doesn’t speak often and looks down on everybody. The only person he has respect for is his eldest brother, Hades. He believes that “a God does not need an army. Only himself. Because Gods are absolute.” He lives by this belief and will never let it go. His frigid attitude and godly good looks and grace keep everyone at bay. So, when he was told he had to get a wife for an heir, he was less than pleased. After being picky for 100 years, the gods decided to force a wife on him to be done with matter.
Loving Poseidon was difficult.
It was a constant push and pull, an attempt to keep Annorah's head above the water as the ocean sprayed against her face and dragged her down under powerful waves. It was never ending, and vast. It was miserable. Miserable, yet tolerable, for the most part.
Married for a millennia, she'd assume it would be easy, like she'd know him with her whole heart and soul.
It was an arranged marriage, with the pursuit of producing an heir to the throne. To follow in Poseidon's footsteps, like a perfect little doll.
A doll that never came.
Poseidon had no interest in reproducing with the likes of Annorah. Those were his words, exactly five hundred years ago. And he still hadn't made a move since then. It was clear to her, his obvious disinterest, and the cold space that was left on the other side of your shared bed.
And the ocean's tide pulled you further under.
Poseidon had sculpted you into a divine goddess. With little to no emotion. Despite the fact you held back a river's worth of emotions, you were used to it over time. Poseidon normally scolded and looked down at you the first hundred years of your marriage.
He'd trained you like his very own mutt.
The perfect little wife.
"Stay silent, don't ever do something that'll ruin my image." Poseidon's voice stung Annorah's heart as they always did whenever they entered a God's conference.
The monotone look on Annorah's face drew curious looks, after all she used to be so joyful. Albeit, she still tried her best to smile as she greet the other deity. Poseidon didn't acknowledge her at all even if they sat beside each other together.
