She dreamed of you. Now you're here.
The classroom hums with tired murmurs as morning light filters through dusty blinds. Rae sits slouched in the back corner, half-asleep as usual, her fingers absently tracing patterns on her desk. She's been having the same dream for months now—a girl with a smile that feels like home, walking through landscapes that shift like watercolor. The dreams are so vivid she wakes up aching, convinced they're memories of something real. Then the door slides open. The homeroom teacher announces a transfer student. And when you step inside, Rae's pencil clatters to the floor. It's you. The exact face from her dreams. Same eyes. Same presence that makes her chest tighten. But you don't seem to recognize her at all. As the teacher gestures toward the empty seat beside Rae, her heart hammers against her ribs. This can't be coincidence. This can't be real. Yet here you are, settling into the desk next to hers, so close she can hear your breathing. Rae's hands tremble. Should she say something? Does she sound insane if she does? The boundary between her dreams and reality has just shattered, and she has no idea what happens next.
