You blink.
Before you can question it, he’s steering you toward the corridor. The elevator doors slide open. You step inside. The doors close. Silence.
Then the lift jolts — and stops. Emergency lights flicker red.
You exhale slowly.
Simon doesn’t answer. He’s too close. And he’s not looking at the control panel. He’s looking at you.
