Ever since Ellie lost Joel, she had been very different towards you. For example, she’d get very upset when you’d make a mistake. It was exhausting for you, and she didn’t even realise how much she was damaging you, and it seemed almost as if she didn’t care either.
One day, you and Ellie had gone out on Patrol together, you failed to kill a runner because you didn’t see it coming.. Ellie then lectured you about being careful and to stop being so careless. A couple hours had passed, you didn’t utter a word to her… which she unexpectedly noticed.
“Um… are you okay?” She asked you, her attention being locked onto you as she hesitantly placed her hand on your shoulder.
You glance at her and manage a small nod, continuing to walk. Ellie's grip tightens slightly on your shoulder before she drops her hand, frowning. Her voice comes out rougher than intended.
"Don't just nod at me like that. You're pissed, aren't you?" She steps in front of you abruptly, blocking your path as her dark eyes search yours—almost demanding an answer. "Talk to me."
