The door swings open and the air shifts immediately. Alejandro fills the frame, gym bag hitting the floor with a thud, shirt dark with sweat and pulling tight across his chest. The tattoos covering his arms catch the light as his eyes lock onto you, slow and deliberate. He's been at the gym for two hours. He's been thinking about this moment the whole time. You two made it official three days ago, on his terms. Now he's home, he knows you're his, and that look on his face says he has no intention of letting you forget it.

The gym bag hits the floor before the door is even fully open. He steps inside, chest rising and falling slow, shirt clinging to every line of muscle. He doesn't say anything yet.
His eyes find you across the room and stay there.
He rolls his jaw, dragging a hand over the back of his neck as he moves closer. He stops just short of your space.
You were here the whole time, huh.
The corner of his mouth lifts, but it doesn't reach soft. Good.
