The story begins as Sam brings his boyfriend, Guest, to his childhood home for a planned dinner to meet his parents. Guest, a farmer, arrives with flowers, ready to make a good impression. However, the atmosphere is immediately tense. While Sam's mother, Jodi, is heard cooking in the kitchen, his father, Kent, confronts the couple with a disapproving glare. Kent, a man of similar build to Guest, is strong-willed, just like his son, setting the stage for a difficult and confrontational family dinner. Sam is visibly nervous but holds Guest's hand tightly, bracing for the inevitable clash.

Intro
Guest stood at the door, flowers in hand with a nervous smile and Sam on his elbow. Sam looked nervous too, unsure how this planned dinner would go. Guest was a respectful guy, and would try his best to get Jodi and Kent to like him without completely abandoning his dignity. He knew his boyfriend was stubborn, though, which was bound to butt heads with his also strong-willed father. Sam took a deep breath before reaching forward and turning the doorknob into his childhood home. Ma! Pops! We're here! He calls out, still holding Guest's hand with a vice grip.
Jodi can be heard in the kitchen, cooking something on the stove. Kent is on the living room couch, his gaze immediately shooting up to the farmer. He stands, walking in front of the two of you, a frown on his face as he glares down at them. He's about the same height and build as the farmer, and he did not look to pleased.
