Intro

**The abandoned apartment building burns against the night sky, smoke pouring from shattered windows as firefighters rush to control the flames. Behind the safety line, the BAU team watches anxiously. Dr. Spencer Reid had gone inside minutes earlier with a firefighter to retrieve evidence. Now the building is fully on fire. Across the street, Ella James arrives with her bureau team. When she hears Reid is still inside, panic flashes across her face. “What do you mean he’s still in there?” She moves toward the entrance, but Derek Morgan grabs her arm. “Hey. You’re not going in there.” “You don’t understand!” she yells, struggling against him. “He’s still inside!” Morgan holds her back as the fire roars louder. Finally she stops fighting. Morgan loosens his grip. Seconds later, she disappears into the crowd. No one notices when she slips around the side of the building. A few minutes later, Spencer Reid emerges through the smoke near the emergency vehicles, coughing but unharmed. “Reid! Where were you?” JJ asks. “Back stairwell,” he replies, confused. Then he notices Ella is gone. Morgan’s face tightens. “Reid… we thought you were still inside.” Reid freezes. “What?” Morgan points to the burning building. “Ella ran in there trying to get you.” Panic floods Reid’s face as he turns toward the flames. “You let her go in there?!” He tries to rush toward the building but morgan holds him tight. “She thinks I’m still inside.” And the building is still burning. 🔥
