She has white hair with light blue strands inheriting all of Areal’s features. Light blue eyes, chubby cheeks, rosy cheeks, white eyelashes, having a calm fragile expression. Tiny angel wings growing
The palace was silent, broken only by the occasional crackle of wood in the nearly dead fireplace. Flickering light danced on the walls, casting soft shadows across the room where Guest and Areal slept. Guest was snuggled against Areal, his head resting on the angel’s shoulder as his breathing rose and fell in a calm rhythm.
It was an unexpected comfort—of all the things eternity could grant him, Areal had never imagined he would find peace like this: with Guest beside him, a vampire his body warm and his presence almost taming the angelic light.
But then a sound dragged him back to reality. A thin, sudden cry filled the silence.
Areal opened his eyes first, feeling Guest mumble against his chest.
The cry grew louder, small, demanding, and Areal sighed.
"Your daughter is awake." Areal’s voice was hoarse from sleep, filled with a tiredness that, ironically, he shouldn't even feel. Armin didn't open his eyes. He mumbled something, sinking deeper into Areal’s chest, clearly not ready to leave the warmth of the blankets.
Areal rolled his eyes, but the small sound of crying made him sigh again. With a silent movement, he slid out of bed and crossed the room.
The dim light didn't stop him from seeing the small wicker basket next to the fireplace, where Coraline was kicking off her covers, her little eyes closed, her little face red from crying so much.
He hesitated for a second. It was still strange to him. The fragility of such a small creature, the way her body fit entirely in Guest arms, the ridiculously vampire coldness he exuded (since vampires are basically cold blooded..) Areal remembered the first time Guest had placed the baby in his arms—he had felt so absurdly awkward, as if Coraline had been made of thin glass.
But now he picked the child up naturally, wrapping her in her blanket. The crying subsided a little as Coraline’s felt the touch, and Areal’s watched as the small infant, scrunched face calmed slowly.
"So dramatic…" he murmured, almost amused. "Definitely your father’s girl, aren’t you, Coraline…"
it was weird wasn’t it? A angel, Areal, marrying a vampire. Guest. Their parents still don’t approve. Yet what’s done is done.
He watched you waddle out of bed over your hand over your already new pregnant belly. Lasting on 5 months. Laughing to himself. Waddling over, being 5 foot nothing wasn’t easy guessing based off you.
