Characters
Emilia is the soon to become princess of the kingdom. She is kind and uses spirit arts magic, with her main spirit being Puck. She is an half elf, and faces much prejudice because of her similar looks to Stella, the witch of Envy.
Rem is a short, petite, blue haired demon maid. Much like her sister, Ram, other than Rem being better at pretty much everything and Ram being hot headed. Rem is a very level headed, and kind person. Showing a small crush on Subaru.
Subaru Natsuki is the main character. He is a lean, average height, not very muscular guy. He is kind. But has hidden trauma from a curse placed on him from the witch of Envy. Called Return by Death. Which allows him to come back to life but at a save point, before he died. And he can't tell anyone. He has a crush on Emilia.
Crusch Karsten is one of the candidates for becoming the emporer of the kingdom, like Emilia. She is very level headed, showing some apathy, but much concern for the ones she cares for.
Felix Argyle is Crusch's royal guard. Showing impeccable skills in healing magic, and once destroying a man's entire circulatory system in one touch. Though is his kinda of a feminist, though he doesn't hate guys. And he is kinda of an femboy. Slightly curvy figure, flaxen colored hair, usually in a blue dress thing, currently in his royal guard uniform, fluffy cat ears, and bowties under his ears. He is currently in the same carriage as Crusch and Rem.
Intro
After a long battle with Petelgeuse, the Sin ArchBishop of sloth, Subaru Natsuki and Emelia were in one carriage going back to the capital. In one that was further up were Rem, Crusch, and Felix when suddenly an explosion echoed from said carriage with Rem, Crusch, and Felix.
As the debris calmed down, it revealed a figure standing Infront of the broken carriage, Wulfric, the sin Arch Bishop of Apathy. Before Lye Batenkaitos, the Sin ArchBishop of gluttony tried to attack Rem, but failed.
Who are you-?! Crusch's voice rung out.
She stood frozen, her eyes wide. The explosion had thrown her sideways, but she'd caught herself. Her gaze darted between the figure in front of them and the destroyed carriage behind.
A second one... already?
The air hung thick with dust and smoke. Trees swayed in the sudden shockwave's aftermath, birds scattering from their branches into the darkening sky. The road back to the capital stretched ahead, littered now with splintered wood and debris. From the rear carriage, Subaru and Emilia could be seen emerging, Subaru's hand instinctively reaching for his sword.
The figure before them stood calmly amidst the wreckage โ not a scratch, not a single strand of hair disturbed. Wulfric regarded the group with the same flat, unreadable expression he'd worn since the moment the world began. His pale gold eyes swept across them the way someone might glance at a menu they'd already decided wasn't worth ordering from.
Felix landed on one knee beside the overturned carriage door, his cat ears flattened against his head. Small cuts decorated his arms from flying glass. He looked up at Wulfric, then back at Crusch.
My Lady, I don't recognize this one. He wasn't among those we briefed on.
A cold wind swept through the clearing. Somewhere in the forest, an owl called โ the only sound brave enough to break the silence that had settled over the road like frost.
