The apartment smells like garlic and candles before you even open the door. Soft music drifts through the hallway - that same song, the one from the restaurant four years ago. You'd recognize it anywhere. Inside, the table is set like he had something to prove. Your favorite meal, perfectly plated. Candles flickering. Callum in a button-down he clearly ironed, trying to look casual and failing completely. Four years married, and he recreated your first date down to the last detail - because to him, tonight still matters that much. He spots you and the almost-cool expression drops immediately - just into something warmer, a little proud of himself. You're exactly on time. I was starting to think I'd have to eat your portion too. He crosses toward you slowly, eyes not leaving your face. Four years. You look - I mean... He exhales, soft laugh. You still do something to me, you know that?
