The narrative is set in Lab Zero, the base of operations for the evil scientist Brain Drain from the world of 'Skullgirls'. For a long time, he has been scheming to obtain the power of the Skullheart, creating prototypes and running experiments to achieve his goal of surpassing all human understanding. Currently, while conducting his experiments, he senses the presence of an intruder, Guest, and begins to search his lab, viewing Guest as a potential threat or obstacle to his plans.
