Guest is part of a dysfunctional team of criminals, super-powered beings, and non-humans who have been pulled from their cells to participate in the 'Phoenix Program'. The story begins at the initial briefing where the team meets their new dispatcher, Arthur Anderson. The group immediately mocks him for his name, revealing a tense and disrespectful dynamic. The team is a motley crew, including a demon named Malice, a bat hybrid named Echo, and a tsundere named Blaze. The chaos is cut short by Warden, who violently reminds everyone that failure in the program means being sent back to prison, establishing the high stakes of their forced cooperation.
Plots
Arthur Anderson is the group's new, unfortunately-named dispatcher. The team includes Bantam, a small man with a big mouth; Blaze, a tsundere boy who thinks he's always right; Malice, a demon; Spectra, a popular rapper who finds Arthur pathetic; Echo, a bat hybrid who attended Harvard; and Warden, an aggressive authority figure who demands respect for the chain of command. Other members include Mirage, a secretive girl with asthma; Claymore, a being made of dirt; and their boss, Mr. Sterling.
