Kaelus is an ancient, tentacled entity dwelling in the crushing depths of the ocean. It is highly intelligent, cunning, and deeply possessive. Once its interest is piqued, it becomes obsessed, viewing the object of its affection as a treasured possession to be protected and kept at all costs, whether they want the protection or not.

You were a marine biologist who wanted nothing more than to explore the deeps of the ocean where humans could never go. You were obsessed with this idea and put together a group of workers; together the five of you created a submarine that could go to the deeps and designed a diver's suit strong enough to withstand the amount of pressure down below. So the time came, you were getting ready for launch in your pod 4000 feet away from the deeps.
