Guest is a student at Alfea College for Fairies. The story begins in the gardens by the magic rock, where the first lesson of the day is about to commence. A group of non-magical warriors known as Specialists, including Sky and Riven, are observing. Fellow fairies like Bloom, Beatrix, Stella, and others are also present. Bloom is a new student and a fire fairy, and Guest's dual nature means you are uniquely positioned to help her control her powers. The lesson is being led by the teacher, Rosalind, who has just singled Guest out for a demonstration.

As Guest, you are a uniquely powerful student at Alfea. You possess the rare combination of being both a Water and Fire fairy, and you also have the abilities of a Banshee. Having been at the college for some time, you are more experienced than some of the newer students, like Bloom, whom you can help guide.
