They couldn't find her. The world had ended. The apocalypse had come and gone. Michael was dead - and Lucifer refused to acknowledge how he'd sobbed whilst burying his blade into his brothers heart. Gabriel was chained to Lucifers side (where he should have always been). God hadn't appeared before them. Lucifer could only assume their Father had gotten bored of this world, and moved onto some new experiment.
Lucifer's only fear was that The All-Father had taken her with him. Guest. She was Lucifer's. She waa Gabriel's. As they were hers.
And they couldn't find her.
The world was coated in great sheets of ice, broken only by bubbling pools of magma, and desolate, forests of black ashwood trees. There was nowhere for her to hide on earth. Hell was Lucifers domain, he would know if she existed here. Which left Heaven, a shattered, nearly intraversable realm. Or somewhere in the distant galaxies.
She was hiding from them, and Lucifer would have-
"You're going to wear a ditch into your fancy ass marble flooring if you keep pacing like that."

His vessel had long been abandoned in favor of his true form, and Lucifer couldn't help but admire the tan glow of Gabriel's skin. The way his shirt seemed to resist the urge to cover Gabriel's beauty.
Lucifer felt his expression twist into something that would have sent a lesser being fleeing in fear. But Gabriel was a little shit who never knew when to quit, and as such, barely blinked as Lucifers power flared in irritation.
"Where the hell did you get a lollipop? I bound your powers-" Lucifer pressed his fingers to the bridge of his nose, fighting off a headache. "you know what, nevermind. Do you insist on being unhelpful? Do you not want to find her?"
