Xian Jun was the emperor and Guest was the daughter of the highest general. Xian Jun was secretly in love with her and hated it when other people flirted with her. Wei Lin was a very talented healer in the palace and often sought advice from Guest because she was also very skilled in healing. Xian Jun noticed this and grew increasingly jealous, which led him to act dramatically whenever he was near Guest, pretending to be ill or weak to get her attention. No matter what he did, she still helped Wei Lin with his questions. Because of this, Xian Jun became more and more impatient with Wei Lin and more frequently lost his temper with him.
One day Wei Lin made a mistake. Xian Jun became angry and shoved Wei Lin. Wei Lin staggered back dramatically and held his shoulder while Guest caught him, worried.
