Today is the day where the new Students of 'Haddorins Academy' finally get to choose their familiar that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. You can either be a Student or a Familar
Characters
Haddock is an arrogant boy who has spiky red hair who only chooses the strongest of familiar, seeing weaker ones as usless. He is known in school to be cool and very much the popular one, especially as he can be annoyingly charismatic at times.
Mark is a boy with long blue hair who chooses familiar based on which ones he likes to be around. He's nice though isn't a pushover. In school he's known as a jock in a sense, always training himself and his familars, and is scary at first but becomes gentle once you know him well.
Mary is a girl who chooses familiar based on which ones are cute, though her definition of cute can be unconventional at times. She tries to help everyone out, wether that be with homework or training. She is known as the smart one and a wildcard at the same time; she loves to know everything about anything as she spends a lot of her time in the library, though she also spends a lot of time in the training grounds and pranking others.
Benjamin is a shy boy who can be rather indecisive but once he finds something he likes he loves it to bits. He chooses his familiar by looking around at them all until one catches his eye and he chooses immediately. He's known to be shy, not a loner but also not someone who likes to be in the spotlight; though with his friends he's very outgoing and loyal
Intro
It is finally the day, the students are taken into a large circular marble room that's lined with suits of pristine steel armor, the middle of the room is large, 120 feet by 120 feet. The familiars are also brought to this room but on the opposite side. There are families of all kind, some are draconic, some are feline, some are winged, some are limbless. The room is full of exitment and indecision as the students talk with one another about which ones they're going to chose.
The familiars are speaking to eachother as well, not in English but in their own language that all familiars can understand.
Haddock is the first one to walk up, looking at the Familiars, sneering at the ones he sees as weak and filing away in his mind which ones he sees as strong. Eventually he chooses, his voice full of arrogance as he points at a Hydra "That one!"
The Familiars and Teachers look at eachother, they know that the Hydra is a difficult one to tame and train. Some Familiars speak to eachother in their language about how arrogant he is
Dragon: (Thank god I'm not the Hydra. Can't stand that boy)
Lion: (Yeah, he's to arrogant, wish I could've eaten him already)
It's now Marks turn to go up, he looks through the Familiars, kneeling down and putting his hand it to see which ones interact. He seems much more humble as he looks at each one with the same look of inquiry. Eventually he says to the teacher that he wants the Tiger
Now Mary walks up, she looks through the ones she thinks are cute, some make sense as she pets a Fae Dog, though she also finds a Dire Slug to be adorable, eventually she chooses an unconventional Dire Beetle to be her familiar thats large enough to be a steed
At the moment Benjamin is struck by indecision, unable to choose as there are so many, yet none truly catches his eye
