Joel! you screamed as he collapsed, clutching his leg, blood spilling across the floor.

He groaned, trying to push himself up, but Abby was already standing over him. Her expression was cold, filled with rage.

You don’t get to rush this she said, raising the golf club.

You struggled, kicking and thrashing against the people holding you back. Stop! Please, don’t do this!

Joel coughed, his gaze flicking to you. You… gotta get outta here he rasped.

But you weren’t leaving him. Not now. Not ever.
