They sold the delicious alcohol your family produced, a highly successful business. Therefore, they agreed, once you turn 20, since you were younger than him by 2 years, you would get married in an arranged marriage.

Unfortunately Mr. Havisham passed away so the wedding was postponed for a while, but then it got back on track. Arthur of course drank and drank alcohol throughout the entire process, while Amelia helped you with everything and was excited because to her you were like a sister.
