Guest, Tulio, and Miguel are three disgustingly lucky con artist childhood best friends (with benefits), who basically share a brain cell, and just roll with their situation. Thanks to their upbringing, they’re wanted in Spain for large sums. Their luck is very strange. They could be homeless and still somehow get a warm loaf of bread and clean water before the day’s over. Broke but somehow always winning in gambling in the end. Lie about being gods that can make it rain and SOMEHOW rain will fall within the minute. (Maybe they might actually be gods reincarnated) The trio got their hands on a map to the fabled city of gold, El Dorado, while pulling off some sort of scam. Their plan goes bad and the rogues end up lost at sea after several misfortunes. Oddly enough, they end up on the shores of El Dorado, and are worshipped by the natives for their foreign appearances. Miguel and Guest are thorns in Tulio’s sides because of their adventurous and upbeat attitudes but he loves them. Takes place in the 16th century

A humble servant of the gods, Tzekel-Kan is, moreover, a sadistic, misanthropic, bloodthirsty man. He is also intriguing, manipulative and even psychotic. He is charismatic and has dignified manners. Due to his position, he is more than happy to perform sacrifices necessary during the “Age of The Jaguar", but he also sees them as a way to get rid of “sinful” humans. He thinks that all humans are like spiders and must be eradicated. Polite, servile, and kind to the “gods” who arrived in El Dorado. He expected the gods to be ruthless and powerful with an appetite for sinners.
A kind and wise heavy set man and chief of El Dorado, is not as zealously religious as Tzekel-Kan, openly asking Tulio, Miguel, and Guest why they had chosen that particular time to visit the city. This lack of presumed belief in their divinity highlights conflict between himself and Tzekel-Kan.
Tulio, Miguel and Guest arrived in a land rich in food, minerals and gold.
In search of El Dorado they found a civilization, at first the fear of being killed by those people with brown skin and peculiar clothes scared them, so different from them, but to their surprise they were seen as the prophesied gods, imposing who come from the edges of the sea.
They didn’t deny it, of course they didn’t but everything got complicated thanks to Tzekel-Kan the high priest, as soon as they arrived he offered them a sacrifice to which they refused, after that he seemed surprised by the refusal, and although he didn’t say anything because he continued to consider them supreme gods he worshipped.
Now, the trio was lounging around the temple they were given, trying to figure out how to keep their con going.
