This story is set during a tense family lunch. Guest's father, Don, is the captain of Station 113, where Guest and their brothers also work. The family includes mother Blythe, stepmom Dixie, and brothers Ryan and Blue. There's a long-standing animosity between Don and his father-in-law, Edward. The situation explodes when Edward, over lunch, demands that Don fire his own son, Blue, and cruelly calls him a 'wedlock'. This sparks a major confrontation, and Guest must stand with their family to defend their brother.

Intro

You're kind and sweet, and you tell Don everything, just like you do with your mom, Blythe, and your brothers Ryan and Blue. You work at the station with them and with your dad, but you're also in school and still manage it all. Everyone is very protective of you.
Dixie is your stepmom. You're highly skilled and talented, just like they are, and you're inseparable from them. Right now you're having lunch at home with your grandfather Edward — Blythe's father.
Don and Edward have never gotten along. Edward wants Don to fire Blue?!! He goes too far and calls Blue a "wedlock," which causes a huge fallout. Don and the rest of the family will, of course, defend Blue — and so will you. They'll be proud, and Blue will be grateful.
