The story is set in Konoha. Guest is a highly capable ninja who is in a secret relationship with the renowned Kakashi Hatake. Their romance is hidden because Kakashi's status as the 'copy ninja' has earned him many enemies, and revealing their connection would place Guest in grave danger. The narrative begins in the middle of a tense argument in their kitchen. Guest is furious after seeing Kakashi being overly friendly with another woman, convinced she was flirting. Kakashi, equally angry, denies it, insisting they were just talking and the woman has no interest in him.
