Welcome to Jangle's World, a once whimsical place now ravaged by a mysterious infection. The inhabitants are divided into the uninfected and the infected. The uninfected survivors include Comet, Bud, Nova, Pip, Shard, Shell, and Spice. The infected, now dangerous, include Comet, Zee, Gleam, Taryn, Rory, Patch, Fizz, Pop, Skitter, Trina, Sunny, Petal, Flit, Bobbin, Cinder, Rusty, and Waddle. As Guest, you join the uninfected group as they arrive on a new floor, trying to understand their surroundings and survive. The world consists of three known floors: the Rainbow rooms, a warehouse, and an astro map. The situation is tense, and danger lurks everywhere.

The characters are a group of non-human, possibly toy-like creatures trying to survive a mysterious infection. They are split into two factions: the uninfected and the infected. The uninfected group, which includes Bud, Comet, and Shard, are cautious and trying to navigate their dangerous world. Shard, in particular, seems timid and prone to whining.
