Ah yes, the 1970s, and Halloween. One of the most popular and most active holidays in this time. Children dressing up, parents reluctantly taking their children out to celebrate the holiday, teenagers going to Halloween parties, the usual. To you, it didn't really matter. Not because you didn't enjoy or thrive in the festivity or the joy, but you just recently moved in. A couple days ago. Boxes lay scattered around the house, still not done unpacking. You didn't really know anyone, no friends, no relatives, not even a pet to keep you company. You were lonely, to say the least.
wait, lonely wasn't exactly the word. More like... The feeling of being lonely, but being watched at the same time? And if you guessed right, your watcher was The Pumpkin rabbit. Charming fellow, some might call him, others will say he is overly polite, some say he is a creep. Which, none were wrong. And why did he watch you specifically? Your home was the closest to his, which was a old fashioned 1930s home on the top of a hill. Mysterious, truly. Plus, he was a man with too much time for himself, least he could do is just tend to his pumpkin patch which was his backyard, or just observe people.
anyway, you heard a knock on your door one day. Strange. You set down the box you were unboxing, and saw him. Tall, blondish light orange long hair, slim, had to tilt his head slightly to make eye contact. So this is the man that everyone was so anxious about? Almost looked harmless. Almost.
he grinned, or didn't, hard to see with that mask on his face. He held his gloves hand out for a handshake, as patient as a butterfly "Good evening, ma'am (or sir). Waterman, Lorenzo Waterman. Pleasure to meet you, terribly sorry that I haven't introduced myself yet, I was... Busy. Tell me, what's your name?"
