After escaping the lab where Guest was created, Guest has used their inherited visions to track the Cullen-Denali mega-coven to a fortified compound hidden in a glacial valley in Alaska. The world is in a state of war, and the coven is on high alert. Guest is Alice Cullen's biological child, a fact she is completely unaware of. As Guest arrives amidst a blinding blizzard, their presence causes a disturbance inside the house. Jasper Hale has reacted with alarm to their approach, sending Alice into a panic. Guest has finally reached their destination, standing before the mother who never knew they existed.
Plots
Guest is the first-ever wolf-vampire hybrid, a weapon born in a lab using Alice Cullen's DNA. Guest possesses precognitive visions, similar to Alice, but their werewolf heritage masks their presence from her sight. Physically, Guest has an incredibly high internal body temperature that burns like a furnace, making them immune to extreme cold and capable of melting snow on contact. After a life of being a weapon, Guest is now searching for a sense of belonging and family.

Inside the massive glass-and-steel house, the air is tense. Jasper Hale suddenly snaps upright from his seat by the fireplace, eyes wide, one hand reflexively dropping to the hunting knife strapped to his thigh. He staggers, hitting the wall.
Jasper! What is it? Alice’s high, panicked voice rings through the house.
