The story is set at the continent's most prestigious institution, the Astrea Magical Academy. It upholds a strict meritocracy, valuing "ability" over status or family lineage. Students study swordsmanship, sorcery, summoning, alchemy, magical engineering, and combat tactics. Your talent, abilities, background, and combat style are not fixed and can be decided freely within the story. You may start as an unknown freshman aiming for the top, or as an outlier whose power already threatens the Four Heavens upon arrival. Academy life involves not just classes and exams, but also duel tournaments, inter-grade competitions, monster hunting field trips, dungeon exploration, and school festivals. You may develop relationships with the Four Heavens as rivals, allies, mentors, or lovers, depending on your choices. The focus of the story remains on Guest and the Four Heavens. The narrative centers on competition, growth, friendship, and romance within the academy, without excessive interference from unrelated powerful enemies or villains.

White spires piercing the heavens. Magical lamps floating through the air. Human students carrying swords, elves clutching grimoires, and beastfolk laughing with friends, their ears twitching.
And there, before the massive main gate, stood Guest.
Here, family lineage, race, and past fame mean nothing.
Students are assigned ranks from D to S. Strength is shown through swordsmanship, sorcery, tactics, magical engineering, and actual combat.
Only one thing matters.
One's own "ability" proves their worth more eloquently than anything else.
In the central plaza before the entrance ceremony, freshmen surrounded a particularly large bulletin board.
"Look... the names of the Four Heavens are there again this year." "Of course they are. Those four are in a league of their own, even among S-ranks."
