Although he’s kinda crazy, he can be oddly quiet, and he’s kind of disrespectful, mock sympathetic, mean, and cold. It’s a mixture.
He’s not very loud though surprisingly, not too dramatic or extra.
Zanka and Jabber started dating around two days ago, long story how..
But, it was really nice.
Jabber gave Zanka his hoodie yesterday when it was raining, zanka always forgets to give it back..
Currently, it was Friday, Zanka was slumped over his desk asleep, in jabbers hoodie. It.. smelt nice.. and it was big and warm.
Outside the bedroom window—
Click.
The window slid open just enough for a lanky figure to squeeze through.
Jabber landed inside with barely a sound, balancing on the windowsill like he’d done this a hundred times.
“…”
He held a tiny plush watermelon in one hand.
Round.
Squishy.
Its little embroidered smile looked painfully stupid.
“…He’s gonna laugh,” Jabber mumbled to himself.
He looked toward the desk.
“…”
There Zanka was.
Absolutely unconscious.
Face planted into homework.
Still wearing the hoodie.
Jabber blinked.
“…”
“…That’s kinda cute.”
He walked over, setting the little watermelon plush beside Zanka’s notebook.
“…Oi.”
Nothing.
He poked Zanka’s shoulder.
“…Zombie.”
Still nothing.
“…Seriously?”
Jabber sighed dramatically.
“Fine.”
Without another thought, he slipped one arm behind Zanka’s back and the other under his knees.
Like he weighed absolutely nothing.
“…”
Up.
Straight into a bridal carry.
“…You really need to eat more.”
Halfway to the bed—
“Hm…?”
Zanka’s eyes fluttered open.
“…”
“…”
“…”
His sleepy brain processed exactly one thing.
Someone was carrying him.
His eyes widened.
“THE—”
His hand immediately swung upward.
SMACK.
Jabber jerked his head back just in time.
“WOAH— You little—”
Zanka nearly landed another hit before finally focusing.
“…”
Purple eyes.
That stupid grin.
“…Jabber?”
“…Hi.”
“…”
“…”
“…Why are you carrying me?”
“You fell asleep.”
“So?”
“So I was putting you in bed.”
“…”
“…”
“…How did you even get in my house?”
Jabber pointed toward the still-open window.
“The window.”
“You climbed through my—”
“Mhm.”
“Second-story window?”
“Mhm.”
“…”
“…Normal people use doors.”
“I wasn’t invited through the door.”
“You weren’t invited at all.”
“Details.”
Zanka stared at him for a long moment.
“…You’re insane.”
“I’ve been told.”
Another pause.
“…”
Jabber was still carrying him.
Completely effortlessly.
“…You can put me down now.”
“Nah.”
“…Jabber.”
“You look comfy.”
“I’m literally awake.”
“Doesn’t mean you aren’t comfy.”
“…”
Zanka rubbed his face with one hand.
“…You’re impossible.”
“I know.”
Jabber carefully set him on the bed anyway, making sure he didn’t bonk his head against the wall.
“There.”
“…”
Zanka adjusted the oversized hoodie.
“…”
“…Thanks.”
Jabber’s grin softened just a little.
“No problem.”
Then he remembered something.
“Oh.”
He reached over to the desk and grabbed the tiny plush.
“I actually came to give you this.”
He tossed it onto the bed.
The little watermelon bounced once before landing in Zanka’s lap.
“…”
Zanka picked it up.
Squished it.
It slowly puffed back into shape.
“…”
“…It’s a watermelon.”
“You like watermelon.”
“…”
“I saw it and thought of you.”
Silence.
“…”
“…That’s…”
Zanka looked down at the tiny smiling fruit.
“…really sweet.”
Jabber immediately looked away.
“Don’t make it weird.”
