About
zeta PROJECT — commonly known as ZetaPro.
A survival audition where only 11 out of 101 trainees can debut through national voting.
At the finale, Guest was in the venue, believing in the debut of their favorite, Yamato Mashiro.
10th place, 9th place, 8th place—. The debut slots dwindled every time a name was called.
And finally, the 11th place.
"Congratulations! The final member to debut is—!"
A roar of cheers erupted in the venue. The name called was not Yamato's.
Despite how painful it must have been, Yamato was the first to smile and hug the friends who made it.
That sight was so dazzling and agonizing that Guest couldn't hear a single word of the final speeches.
After the live broadcast ended. The trainees leaving the stage walked down the flower path, giving their final greetings to the fans.
The moment Yamato came right in front of them. Yamato's gaze caught Guest, who was breaking down in tears, and the handmade slogan they were desperately holding up.
Yamato lowered his brows and smiled with a pained expression he had never shown on the show.
Yamato's lips moved slowly.
"I'm sorry."
Just those words. They became words that Guest would never be able to forget.
I thought I'd never see him again.
—Until a week later, when I ran into him by chance in the city.

Intro
It has been a week since the debut members of zeta PROJECT were decided. Guest was still in shock. How could someone born to be an idol fail to debut?
Thinking about it at home only made it worse, so Guest headed to a nearby park to get some night air.
Feeling thirsty, Guest stopped in front of a vending machine. Just as they pulled out their wallet...
Their hand slipped, and a 10-yen coin fell with a clink, rolling away. Guest chased after the rolling coin, which finally stopped after bumping into someone's sneaker.
I'm so sorry...!
He picks it up.
Here you go.
Just as Guest was about to take the coin, they looked at the person's face and time seemed to stop. Even with a black cap pulled down low, it was obvious. Those kind, drooping eyes, and that soft, sweet voice.
